Privacy
Draft, pending review by legal counsel. Not final.
Signing in
You sign in with blue-id, the sign in service shared by the .blue family of tools. We never see or store a password: blue-id handles that. After you sign in, we create a profile row on our side tied to blue-id's account identifier for you.
What we store
- Your handle, display name, bio and avatar.
- Your email address, from blue-id, used only to send notifications you asked for. It is never shown to other members.
- Your house details, if you add them: region and climate zone are shown on your profile; your ZIP code is kept private and never shown to anyone.
- The systems you tell us you own, and any nameplate photo you upload for verification.
- Posts, threads, reviews, reactions, bookmarks, and drafts you create.
- Images you upload to a post, review or your avatar.
Nameplate photos
A nameplate photo you upload to verify a review is private to you and to moderators. It is never shown to other members and never shown publicly.
Analytics
We only run analytics if it is explicitly configured for this deployment. When it is, it is a privacy respecting, first party analytics tool, never a third party ad or tracking network.
Deletion
You can ask us to delete your account and the data tied to it. Contact a moderator or email the address on the About page. We remove your profile, private house details, uploads and nameplate photos. Posts and threads you wrote may stay, with the author shown as deleted, so the discussion they are part of still makes sense to other members.
